It\u2019s the perfect moment to treat your buddy to a nice bath and a good brush to keep the loose hairs under control. Dog in shedding season: seasonal coat changes<\/h2>\n

For most people, autumn is known for its beautiful, warm colours. But for us dog parents, it\u2019s also known for all that shedding. Once the coat change starts and the winter coat comes in, you\u2019ll find clumps of hair everywhere! This seasonal coat change \u2013 the shedding period \u2013 is simply your dog swapping their summer coat for a thicker and, above all, warmer winter coat. <\/p>\n

Tip #1: brush regularly<\/h2>\n

To prevent your home from being overrun with dog hair, it\u2019s best to brush your dog regularly. And by regularly, we mean a short brushing session every day. After about 3 to 4 weeks, your dog\u2019s new winter coat will be in, and you can go back to your normal grooming routine. After brushing, you can also run a damp cloth over the coat to remove any remaining loose hairs.
Outside the shedding season, it\u2019s better to brush a maximum of once a week, as over\u2011brushing can actually increase shedding. Make sure you\u2019re using the right brush for your dog\u2019s coat type. For example, we have the wooden vegan brush<\/a> for long, fine coats and the vegan wooden\/nylon brush<\/a> for short coats. <\/p>\n

Tip #2: choose the right nutrition<\/h2>\n

A healthy coat starts from within. Make sure your dog is well fed and stays hydrated. Choose food with the right amount<\/a> of fatty acids to support skin and coat.
