What types of dog harnesses are there?<\/h2>\n

There are many different types of dog harnesses, but which one is actually the best? In general, we can divide all dog harnesses into two main categories: chest harnesses and Y-harnesses. <\/p>\n

The chest harness has a horizontal strap across the chest. This horizontal strap runs over the shoulder and is attached to the chest strap. The Y-harness has a vertical strap that runs over the breastbone and between the front legs. <\/p>\n

A third type of harness is the escape-proof harness. This is essentially a Y-harness with an additional strap that sits over the narrow part of the belly. This prevents the harness from sliding forward and keeps the dog from slipping out.
